------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-09-14 08:38 ------- I was just doing some thinking on this and here are a few thoughts: I can certainly appreciate the need in a virtual hosting environment for this sort of functionality. On the other hand I start thinking about all of the ways users bayes data can be screwed up, either intentionally or by accident. Imagine this, you are going to run sa-learn on a bunch of ham messages for [EMAIL PROTECTED] but instead you type in --username [EMAIL PROTECTED], opps. Now, what if you accidently learned them as spam instead of ham, realize your spam/ham mistake and re-learn them as ham, but this time you type in the username correctly. Now [EMAIL PROTECTED] has a bogus bayes database. I guess, if we can get around this, and figure out how to handle windows users we can move forward. My opinion on the whole "I specified a username that I should have access to, so don't give me an error" issue I believe is a non-issue, just make it so only root can run with that option, period. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
