I can see that using get_metadata is the right thing. I had a typo in my other
comment where I said {msg}->{strings} instead of {msg}->{metadata}->{strings}
but that isn't the right to use anyway.
I don't think that I need to attach a patch for this, as it is just the change
in one line that David proposed.
