This error really looks like more of a config issue than a bug in the code. Did
you recently upgrade to SA 3.0.0? Several options have changed in the local.cf
file, etc. Here is what I would do to track down the problem.
1. Fix all lint errors.
1a. In 3.0.0 rules names are limited to 22 characters
1b. In 3.0.0 rules descriptions are limited to 50 charcters
1c. There may be one really bad error buried in the 530+ other errors
2. Remove all custom rules and see of the issue goes away. If so then start
adding them back in and watch for errors
3. Review your local.cf file and make sure that none of the options there need
to be updated to the 3.0.0 standard, changes are outlined in the UPGRADE file.
4. You can also run "spamassassin -D --lint" to get even more information.
I'm going to close this bug for now, if after fixing all config issues the
problem still exists, it can be re-opened. For now, further discussions should
be moved to the "users" mailing list.
