Summary: No X-Spam headers created due to uninitialized values
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.0.0
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: spamc/spamd
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I am using spamassassin 3.0 on a Linux system with perl v5.8.1.
When using spamc with the -r option, it reports spam just fine. When using it
without any options it will not report spam as the header generation in spamd
seems to be broken (no X-Spam headers or other SPAM information inserted). I
always get these two syslog lines for each mail:
Oct 21 08:34:29 cray spamd[3945]: Use of uninitialized value in concatenation
(.) or string at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/Mail/SpamAssassin/NoMailAudit.pm
line 184.
Oct 21 08:34:29 cray spamd[3945]: Use of uninitialized value in pattern match
(m//) at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/Mail/SpamAssassin/PerMsgStatus.pm line
875.
When running spamd with the debug flag, I see the whole processing of the spam
rules just fine, there two errors come up at the end of the run and I do not see
anything additional in the debug output that relates to these errors.
Of course I tried running spamassassin without the user directory and without
any local config in /etc. No change.
