Summary: BayesSQL token column type for MySQL may end up with
semi-bogus data
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.0.1
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Learner
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Due to the fact that MySQL silently chops off trailing spaces for the CHAR type
(I swear I read that it didn't when we switched them over awhile back) it is
possible to get "odd" data back from MySQL when you retrieve the token value (ie
backup or dump).
In addition, it seems that an equality check will silently chop off the spaces
on both sides so if you insert 'test ' into the database it will find a match
for 'test'
This certainly is not ideal.
