Also, with all due respect, you really didn't have to be such an asshole. Even if I hadn't intended to follow my question by pointing out the problem in the man page or making a feature request - and even if the man page hadn't suggested the answer wouldn't be found elsewhere in the documentation, in light of which I think asking the dev list was quite reasonable - if you have a systemic problem with people asking questions on the wrong list, being rude to individual users isn't going to help. If you get off on ordering people around, it'd sure be nice if you did it in a private, personal context. People who post to this list have their own issues to think about, often their own free software projects, and aren't served well by such abuse.
