Works exceedingly well in SARE.

This has come in handy -- it's enabled us to compare performance
between two or three different versions of the rule, simply by
comparing Monday evening's response email to Tuesday morning's to
Tuesday afternoon's.

That's the way SARE has ours implemented. But then, it's easy to
control subscriptions to an invitation-only group...
