------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006-02-03 00:59 ------- A few things: 1) I'm pretty sure that this patch just masks any problem that is occurring in bug 4693. It doesn't actually fix it. 2) Justin's commits have said "workaround for spurious 'tcp timeout' warnings". This bug says (comment #0) that spamd actually stops responding to connections. It's not just spurious warnings like reported in bug 4563 (marked as duplicate). So I'd say this fixes bug 4563, which isn't actually a duplicate (if the warnings Justin, Tom and Chris are seeing are in fact just spurious) and that this bug (bug 4696) isn't yet fixed (unless anyone has seen otherwise -- GREG ARE YOU OUT THERE?!). 3) If this is all working for folks, is there a mininmal patch for 3.1.1? With the difficulty in getting votes for 10 line patches, I can just imagine the support for adding a new (Timeout) class to the 3.1 branch. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
