Summary: Enhancement to _HITS_ prefix, rewriting headers
Product: Spamassassin
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: Score Generation
AssignedTo: [email protected]

According to the user interface, "Text added to the Subject: line of mails
that are considered spam. _HITS_ in the tag will be replace with the
calculated score for this message. _REQD_ will be replaced with the threshold."
It would be very handy if, when the _HITS_ tag is used, it would supply a
leading zero. If this were implemented, the end user could sort their Spam
folder by subject line, moving all the outrageously spamalicious items to one
end, and the lower-scoring ones to the other. The user can then easily scan
the lower-scoring mails for items mistakenly marked as spam.
Without the leading zero, mail readers will mix "4" in with the 40s. Perhaps
not many spam mails acieve a "40" score, but if a user were to set their
threshhold to much lower than the default, then a leading zero would make it
easier to find the "2.5" among the twenties.
I think it would also make the Spam folder prettier, because then all the
scores would line up. (I haven't seen a score over 99.9 yet.)
