aggregated patch against the 3.1.0 release tarball take 3
and here's the redo of patch 3368. Again, this is the same code with the fix
for bug 4590 and the "silly fix" merged in.
If you're seeing SpamdForkScaling warnings or errors, we STRONGLY recommend
retrying with svn trunk, or one of these two patches -- probably this one.
