Summary: Razor reporting via spamc fails with "Inappropriate
ioctl for device report requires authentication"
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.1.1
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: FreeBSD
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5
         Component: spamc/spamd
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When I attempt to report spam with a command like:

  spamc -x -l -C report -u spamd < test

it fails with

  Unable to report/revoke message

and syslog shows:

  May 2 12:06:09 raven spamd[51867]: reporter: razor2 report failed:
Inappropriate ioctl for device
report requires authentication at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/Mail/SpamAssassin/Plugin/
Razor2.pm line 168. at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/Mail/SpamAssassin/Plugin/Razor2.pm line
316.

The spamd user's home directory contains a valid Razor configuration: logging
in as spamd and
running razor-check works fine.

(In case you're interested we're running site-wide filtering with a milter, and
want users to be able to
report spam using spamc over an SSH tunnel from their various machines.)
