Here's the thing -- that makes 3 of us that *don't* want it running from
inetd ;)  OK, let's leave it the way it is now, then -- not running
from inetd, instead running from rc3.d (possibly by band if necessary).

But who *was* trying to get it running from inetd?  (was it me when
we first set up the box?  possibly I suppose.)
