Michael Peddemors did write:
We have opened a public list of regular expressions that are designed to match
2 different criteria.
1) Addresses which match DUL Forms, ie xxx.xxx.xxx.pool.adsl.domain.com
2) Addresses which match a source which has been reported as sending
unsolicited bulk mail (NON-DUL)
You want to anchor all your patterns from the beginning of the host
name. For instance, just \.host\.telemar\.net\.br$ by itself cannot
match efficiently, if a thousand or so such patterns are assembled into
a single pattern. The backtracking will kill you. You have to get the
beginning anchored as well. Thus, you really want (in this particular case):
^[0-9]+\.host\.telemar\.net\.br
