------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006-12-13 21:40 ------- I certainly don't want to keep any of you from sleeping at night. :) I understand fully what Sidney wrote. I'm disappointed by it, though, and I think that situations like this holds back the entire software industry (not just open source software). A chief complaint about Windows is that it inflicts the need to know all sorts of specialized information upon its users. If all ISPs were like Sidney's, maybe I wouldn't have even entered the bug in the first place, but they're just passing on the need to have the specialized knowledge to their users rather than helping the situation. We, as the creators of the software, could do better. I hope that, as a result of this discussion, some of you are aware that -- like it or not, and even in a server component that end users can't even install on their own machines -- what you do affects end users directly. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
