           Summary: false positive: RATWARE_OUTLOOK_NONAME MSGID_DOLLARS
                    RATWARE_MS_HASH
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.1.7
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5
         Component: Rules
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

As far as I understand, if a msgid has a pattern that resemble outlook (with $
inside), and if X-Mailer and/or X-MimeOLE header are not found in the mail, the
three rules:
MSGID_DOLLARS
RATWARE_OUTLOOK_NONAME
RATWARE_MS_HASH

are triggered with more or less 6 point added to the mail score.
This qualify the message to be marked as spam most of the time...

The problem is that, we are receveing plenty of legitimate mail from customers
that are using outlook 2003 and that have their mail server behind a watchguard
firebox firewall, that as a default, remove from any outgoing mail in the smtp
proxy, both X-Mailer and X-MimeOLE headers, to "hide" information about the MUA
used.

My only choice at the moment is to lowering the score of these 3 rules, but I
hope to hear suggestion on this issue from the spamassassin dev team...

Thank you in advance
