Theo, thanks for your help. It turns out that we get different results in testing (like you did) versus what we see in real time. So we still think something is not quite right. Our spamassassin expert here tested by resending a junk message locally to our mail server and confirms your findings. In testing spamassassin outputs only one subject, namely the second of the two input subjects. (note, the input subject spans two lines) *However*, in real time we clearly get different results for the same message - that is when the message comes in from off campus. Spamassassin outputs two subjects using the second of the two input subjects, as in Subject: [SPAM] subject 2 ... Subject: subject 2 In the attached log (real time example, message coming from off campus) you can see that spamassassin replaced the first input subject with "[SPAM] subject 2". We have not yet attempted to replicate this by resending from off campus. again, this is with the default setting of report_safe 1 If your design criteria is that spammassassin should only output one subject then further testing is needed. Do you have any ideas? And, if we can replicate the results by sending the same message from off campus, what information and debugging output do you need? ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
