should we just not bother with votes for prereleases?
To be honest, I can't see the harm in accidentally pushing a prerelease
tarball at the wrong time -- and this is the second 3.2.0-preX that isn't
garnering votes, so clearly the process is getting in the way here. :(
(Votes for "official" full releases, of course, would still be necessary)
I think this prelease had a few issues, I know I had some, so that could
be the reason it isn't getting voted on. I tried building it on CentOS
4.4 i386 with MySQL enabled and it spit out an error. And on CentOS 4.4
86_64 it doesn't build at all due to DBI issues. Seems the yum repos is
way behind in what version of DBI and DBD::mysql they have. I even tried
CPAN installing it and neither of those would install due to mysql lib
issues. I've been busy at my $dayjob so haven't had a lot of free time
to debug those issues. But TGIF and hope to have some free time this
weekend.
Yeah, thanks for looking at that!
I'm not sure what the danger is with the CentOS/MySQL issue, to be honest.
That's Michael's code, I don't think many of the rest of us understand
it much...
Test worked last time I messed with the code :)
I suspect a change to the libraries that wasn't ported to the test.
I'll try and look at it in the next few days.

I know it works fine with 3.1.8 and seemed to be working with 3.2.0 SVN.
If you need me to send you the errors I get just give me a hollar and
I'll redo my make tests and send you the output. Also I always install
all the optional modules for everything. 8*)
