Thanks, I tested it too with 8.2.4 and works fine.
The ELSEIF and ELSIF are synonyms in 8.* .
Applying to trunk (on it's way to become 3.3.0), can't hurt:
svn -m 'applied patch in 4653, fixes PostgreSQL 7.*
and does not hurt 8.*' ci
