openSUSE 10.2, but sorry for the noise, I found the problem: The source 
was on a NFS drive, I just copied it to a local disk and everything is 
fine. 

I was puzzled by this line, where "Keine Sperren verfügbar" means "no 
locks available":
bayes: cannot open bayes databases ./log/user_state/bayes_* R/W: lock 
failed: Keine Sperren verfügbar

Sorry, never had that before. 3.2.5 works fine now in production :-)
