Please note: This is NOT an official statement by the SA team. This is
a personal comment by a long-time reader of c't magazine, sad to see
lack of understanding and quality dropping yet again.

Feel free to contact me off-list, if you need a German translation.

Open Source and Free Software are "full versions" by nature. Alas, they
qualify for the fuzzy and broad term "freeware" also. So you just
stated, that you're not going to include Open Source on that DVD? And by
conclusion you're not going to include this project either?

But you're happy to include crippled functionality "special versions"
(definition of the latter according to your OP), as long as there is a
non-free pay-for-use commercial version available. That's offering free
advertisement.

I kindly invite you to do your homework, and include Open Source
software without asking for permission.

[Skipping the large part about registration, serial numbers and crippled
"special versions with reduced functionality". A single form letter just
doesn't cut it always...]

Please see above and elaborate on the statement regarding not including
freeware.

Congrats, dude, you blew it. You just posted this to a publicly
accessible and archived mailing list. Confidential, eh?
