Hello All,

  I thought that I've sent my messages to the list but due to Reply-To
confiuguration of the message list they came as personal message to the
senders, so I'm resending the major points:

FIRST
===================

I could no longer find the rule that checked for fake "X-Mailer: The Bat!" by
the format of message-id.

Here is the Delphi code which makes Message-ID in The Bat!

      Result := Format('<%d%d.%4.4d%2.2d%2.2d%2.2d%2.2d%2...@%s>',
                         [Random(200), Random(MaxInt div 200), Year,
                          Month, Day, Hour, Min, Sec, S]);

where
 * Random(n) gives [0..n-1]
 * MaxInt div 200 = 10737418
 * Year, Month, Day, Hour, Min, Sec are in local time
 * S contains an FQDN

 For example, Message-ID: <[email protected]>

SECOND
===================

I support dropping the rule SUBJ_RE_NUM. I receive a lot of messages from The
Bat! users and this rule bothers me significantly. Problem is that a number of
Internet service providers claim that The Bat! is a spamming tool and, on that
basis, block messages containing "The Bat!" in an X-mailer header. That's why
the legitimate users of The Bat! have configured to not include the X-mailer
into the messages, which, in its turn, triggers the SUBJ_RE_NUM. Another reason
to drop the SUBJ_RE_NUM is that somebody may use an e-mail client (say,
"A-Mail") that does not change subject on reply, and when the user of A-Mail
will reply to a message from The Bat! with "Re[3]:", SpamAssassin will raise a
false positive.
