Summary: Dynamic IP and Horde/IMP get tagged
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.2.5
Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Rules
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Spamassassin assigns the following score to legitimate e-mail sent with Horde
IMP from dynamic IP address:
X-Spam-Score: 2.599
X-Spam-Level: **
X-Spam-Status: No, score=2.599 required=5 tests=[RCVD_NUMERIC_HELO=2.599]
Headers hitting this test are similar to:
Received: from 26.47.191.90.sta.estpak.ee (26.47.191.90.sta.estpak.ee
[90.191.47.26]) by webmail.edu.ee (Horde MIME library) with HTTP; Thu, 10
Dec 2009 09:34:12 +0200
This HELO name is FQDN and should not hit the RCVD_NUMERIC_HELO header.
This relatively high score when coincident with other accident tests (e.g.
HTML_MESSAGE and TVD_SPACE_RATIO) blocks legitimate e-mail.
This behavior is reported by two different spamassassin setups one of which is:
FreeBSD
p5-Mail-SpamAssassin-3.2.5_4
And two different Horde/IMP setups one of which is:
Gentoo Linux
Horde 3.1.3
IMP 4.1.3
