I can understand why an X-Originating-IP address is checked against RBL lists,
but what is the rationale of checking them against PBLs if this is supposedly
not a bug?

RBL = host known to be spammy.
PBL listing = host or whole subnet that shouldn't send unauthenticated SMTP.
A webmail client is not an unauthenticated SMTP client, so shouldn't this mean
it should not be checked against PBLs?
