It is a Bug 6242, documented there.
Just reopen if it really needs the full voting round.
I missed the subject and had looked at SVN for a bug reference. I think
it's clear it's approved as an elsif from reading the comments and can
be committed without reopening to 3.3. It was approved prior to the 3.3
branch so this is just cleaning up an old bug.
Probably doesn't matter one way or the other.
I'd go with the change that was already comitted to trunk in May.
Makes good sense to me from that perspective.
