Darxus <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from Darxus <[email protected]> 2011-04-26 01:48:06 EDT --- That is the entirely valid way to encapsulate an IPv4 address in an IPv6 address: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6_transition_mechanisms#Stateless_IP.2FICMP_Translation_.28SIIT.29 Although it wouldn't be the first time spammers took advantage of something entirely valid but poorly supported. I agree that it would work well for SA to just handle (blacklist lookups of) such addresses as IPv4 addresses. Although it would need to handle all the possible abbreviations, from the mentioned ::ffff:82.128.107.32 to the long form 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:ffff:82.128.107.32 The v4 form of this address is listed by spamhaus and several others. -- Configure bugmail: https://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
