Bug #: 6672
Summary: Encoded headers in spam gets past filters
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.3.1
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: Libraries
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 4979

Typical spam product image. Not inappropriate images of people, drugs or some
such thing.
This looks very much like bug ID 83, but rather than causing false positives,
any spam with encoded headers (I believe that's the trigger, but could be
mistaken) falls through with no SpamAssassin headers.
When piping the message through spamc from the command line, the return is
"0/0" which indicates a processing failure according to the spamc manpage.
Typical headers are as follows:
Return-Path: <[email protected]>
X-Original-To: [email protected]
Delivered-To: [email protected]
