            Bug ID: 6887
Summary: Jenkins needs to have a build based on FreeBSD as
                    Solaris1 is going away
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows 7
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Website/Infrastructure
          Assignee: [email protected]

Our Jenkins builds should be moved from solaris1 to a freebsd build

I setup a freebsd trunk build at
https://builds.apache.org/job/SpamAssassin-trunk-FreeBSD/ some eons ago. As of
now, likely from a perl upgrade, perl modules are not available.

For the Solaris1 build, Justin got access to the box and installed his own
perl, many of the modules, etc. so we had a stable build environment.

1 - need to either get access to the box or use scripts to install perl modules
- see /trunk/build/jenkins/run_build_freebsd and look at run_build to see how I
had to modify the scripts to install some perl modules on the boxes to keep
things running.

2 - Back when I was working on this actively, I did get the builds working but
I generated a ton of issues where it appeared something local on the box was
interfering. I believe the best route is to get access to the box and I asked
the board about this 12/19

"Need access to the box to figure out what is killing it on the build slave.
What would the process be to approve that?"

Approach builds, ask for access, if declined report back to board.
