On the page http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/AutoWhitelist there is mentioned the tool sa-heatu for manipulating the AWL Berkeley database. I rewrote it, enhancing a bit its capacities. Besides others you can print, expire, or delete records using regexes and many other criteria. Although I do not use the Berkeley database anymore with SA, the utility may be perhaps useful to others. Perhaps putting a link to the above mentioned page would make sense too. I do not have any document describing the utility, but it has a quite detailed command help, so just run sa-heatu -h.
