You waited less than 24 hours on a pretty big patch ;-) Generally I
would wait at least 72 hours.
Yes, you are right that I was probably too impatient. On the other
hand, just
because I have no experience, I first posted a week ago asking for
the proper
procedures for suggesting a plugin (http://www.gossamer-
threads.com/lists/spamassassin/devel/183720). I was told to upload
the plugin
as attachment to Bugzilla and wait. Well, I did not want to put it
right to
Bugzilla without any introduction anyway, so posted it first here (on
5th at
3:05 AM). But when I saw that after more than a day (on 6th at 14:31),
practically nobody even looked at it on the server, I told myself that
perhaps listening to the advice and posting to Bugzilla was indeed the
preferred way. So it was more than 35+ hours, not less than 24, but
still you
are right I could wait a bit more. I apologize, and will keep more
patient
the next time.
I'll see if I can take a look as your description looks interesting.
I've cross referenced things to some other bugs and added some first
notes.
Thanks, I'll look at them and will comment whether TxRep really
addresses
them.
Thanks. I looked at a lot of it today and I know Joe has some
questions. We'll see if we can't get some discussion going. Overall,
good work so far!
I've taken a look and there's nothing I can see that prevents us (PCCC)
from testing it. We'll try it out in production with a really low score
and see how it works!
What settings/install steps would you recommend for replacing AWL?
