So every (systemd) linux distribution has to create the same service and timer files on their own and include them in their packages. It is a common procedure to ask whether these files could be included in upstream instead so several linux distributions could benefit. There is already an according discussion on the fedora bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1064537 I think including these files just would save time in creating packages, so that's the reason why I used the generic statement "useful".
