Oh, pre-Apache! Now it finally makes sense to me why it is set up like it is. In any case I have asked Infra for an opinion on whether it is worth switching. Pro switching - Everything would be in house; no dependence on donations; Con - If it ain't broke, don't fix it; Sonic.net is helpfully willing to donate the service to us and they aren't about to go away.
