Bug ID: 7438
Summary: Since update to Ubuntu 17.04 Sa-Compile issue
Product: Spamassassin
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: other
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: sa-compile
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: Undefined
Since updating Ubuntu to 17.04, I kept getting issues with updating
Spamassassin, ranging from public key errors or GPG.KEY errors. After trying
various tips from the internet to fix the problem and not getting through, I
purged Spamassassin and reinstalled.
Currently Spamassassin is installed correctly, but when I run apt-get upgrade
it says it is not fully installed, and thus runs Sa-Compile.
Once Sa-compile runs for a few minutes it comes back with the following error:
Setting up sa-compile (3.4.1-6) ...
Running sa-compile (may take a long time)
Timeout::_run: check: no loaded plugin implements 'check_main': cannot scan!
Check that the necessary '.pre' files are in the config directory.
At a minimum, v320.pre loads the Check plugin which is required.
dpkg: error processing package sa-compile (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 255
Errors were encountered while processing:
sa-compile
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
After checking through the various spamassassin folders, I find plenty of .pre
files, so I am not sure what is causing this issue.
I flagged as a minor issue, as Spamasassin is in fact running correctly and is
flagging mails just fine. However, every time I run apt-get upgrade it keeps
trying to run Sa-compile and giving the same error.
