Bug ID: 7581
Summary: One SA update mirror seems to not work properly
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.4.1
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Website/Infrastructure
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: Undefined
Hello,
we have been intermittently getting this error report from cron when refreshing
SA rules:
/etc/cron.daily/spamassassin:
channel: SHA1 verification failed, channel failed
sa-update failed for unknown reasons
Judging from HTTP proxy logs it turned out that update fails, if the server
chooses to download from http://sa-update.bitwell.fi/ mirror. I tried to
download the 3 files (1830732.tar.gz, 1830732.tar.gz.sha1 and
1830732.tar.gz.asc) manually and got this response:
This site is for the Apache SpamAssassin Project updates using the sa-update
command. You will now be redirected to the home page for the open-source Apache
SpamAssassin Project.
The mirror is listed in the MIRRORED.BY file - I guess rules are not uploaded
there and this is a generic "file not found" page?
