Bug ID: 7951
Summary: FUZZY_CREDIT rule fires for some French expression
containing "mercredi"
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 3.4.6
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: spamassassin

Hello,
I discovered that some French expresssion containing the word "mercredi"
(Wednesday) is interpreted as an attempt to obfuscate the word "credit".
For example:
- "mercredi à" in the sentence "Rendez-vous mercredi à 11 h" ("See you on
Wednesday at 11am") triggers the FUZZY_CREDIT filter
- "mercredi te" in the sentence "Est-ce que mercredi te convient ?" ("Does
Wednesday suit you?) triggers the FUZZY_CREDIT filter
I don't know what in body FUZZY_CREDIT /<inter
W1>(?![ck]r(?:[e\xe9]|\xc3\xa9)dit)<C><R><E><D><I><T>/i generates that (in the
file /usr/share/spamassassin/25_replace.cf).
All the best,
Fred
