Bug ID: 7961 Summary: Spamassassin is ignoring additional own rules Product: Spamassassin Version: 3.4.6 Hardware: PC OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Documentation Assignee: dev@spamassassin.apache.org Reporter: fo...@home.decotrain.de Target Milestone: Undefined This is more a request for documentation / support and not a bug, because Spamassassin is working, but so far no own rules could be added. Please refer to this bug descriptions at Debian https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1006439 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1006640 because it seems that they can not be answered there. Specially the implementation of sa-compile is not clear. So here are the main questions: How can be checked that the compiled rules are used by spamd instead of the *.cf files ? How it is possible to check which rules are compiled using re2c (https://re2c.org) ? How own rules can be added that they are not overwritten by an package update ?
