So there are really 3 things going on here:
#1 - a plugin is breaking an array of data that could affect plugins running
after it.
#2 - The triage is to try and run this plugin last
#3 - You've also changed it so that the subject line code works as originally
intended.
I'm +1 to commit but we should create a bug for a better fix for #2.
