Bug ID: 8124 Summary: spamassassin choking off an onging email conversation Product: Spamassassin Version: unspecified Hardware: PC OS: Windows 10 Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: spamassassin Assignee: dev@spamassassin.apache.org Reporter: andrew_x...@yahoo.com Target Milestone: Undefined Created attachment 5882 --> https://bz.apache.org/SpamAssassin/attachment.cgi?id=5882&action=edit email delivery report Hi, I'm using cpanel to manage my website, and cpanel uses spamassassin to filter out spams coming into our email boxes. In the past few weeks, I noticed that some of the email conversations stopped while I expected more responses from the other party. So I checked email deliverability in cpanel and found the responses have been filtered out. So somehow spamassassin's algrithum changed the rules classifying the new response of a previously allowable conversation as a spam. So I can only speculate that there have been some kind of change recently that caused the reclassification. It has happened to at least 3 email addresses in the past week. I understand that this is done by volunteerts and I have no idea whether anyone can do anything about it. I just hope to raise the awareness of this issue, because it can be pretty disruptive to anyone who is using spamassassin. In the attached report, the emails that were filtered out but were responses to onging conversations are from moxiaoli...@126.com and jon.friedl...@megaray.com.
