Sorry to jump into this thread, but I'm in a similar situation and
thought it might be relevant here.
I also have a PR (https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/54644) for
SPARK-49634 that has been waiting for a review. The original reporter
appears inactive (~6 months on GitHub), and I previously asked for
guidance on the user list and then on dev@, but haven't received a
response yet.
I don't mean to hijack this thread -- just thought it might be a good
opportunity to ask since the topic is similar.
