Jarek Jarcec Cecho commented on SQOOP-1171:
-------------------------------------------

Hi [~kostiantyn],
thank you very much for opening this JIRA and submitting the patch. Support to
specify {{--columns}} parameter during export has been already added by
SQOOP-503 in Sqoop 1.4.2. From the patch, I'm not quite sure what issue is
actually solving, so would you mind describing issue that you are facing it a
bit more?

> Add possibility to specify columns list to export in required table.
> For example, your target table contains the following fields: id, message,
> country, dtx. 'id' is autoincrement field and 'dtx' set by trigger. So, you
> have only two columns on HDFS (message and country). Now you can set them w/
> option '--columns message, country' during export
