Hi Nick,

The way I see it the more testing the better so if you want to test it then go
for it!

Our QA department is doing some testing based off our existing test cases
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SQOOP-1357).

As far as I know the builds are not available from a build server or similar -
and you have to manually do a build. Our QA department would normally get them
from a build server - so in this case I just built it for them - I'm happy to
do the same for you if you like - or you could build it yourself.

As for when to do it - it looks like Venkat is about to commit some changes -
so you could wait until those are committed if you like. But any time you like
should be good - as it should be fairly stable now.

David

Subject: Oraoop Testing

A couple weeks ago I volunteered to give the in-place Oraoop upgrade a shot and
document the process (for 1.4.5).

To ensure I mimic the user experience as close as possible for when the new
release is available where should I pickup the most recent build? And, is now
the right time to do so?

Lastly, of course, is this still of interest? Wouldn't want to do superfluous
work if it's not necessary.

Thx
Nick
