I've briefly looked into this one and I do have two rough edges that I want to
clean first before removing all the old validator infrastructure:
* Migrate HDFS connector over to the new validator infrastructure (SQOOP-1575)
* Migrate Repository upgrade to the new validator infrastructure (SQOOP-1576)
