Veena Basavaraj updated SQOOP-1921:
-----------------------------------
    Description:
The main goals are

1. To figure how to instrument code to collect connector/ data source related
metrics , execution engine metrics, repository metrics, basically metrics for
any component that is pluggable.

We can use a standard library to do this, than rolling our own

2. Figure how where to store this? In repository, as a kafka event on some
topic consumers can listen to, or other alternatives

  was:
The goal of this ticket is to support a pluggable way to select the execution
engine on which we can run the sqoop jobs.
