Andrew Musselman commented on SQOOP-1332:
-----------------------------------------
Awesome, thanks. I was thinking it would be nice to be able to explore tables
in external databases using something like the "describe" keyword in Oracle,
MySQL, and Postgres, for examples.
E.g., http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14357/ch12019.htm
But on second thought it may be possible just to issue the describe clause in a
free-form SQL query already, closing this bug. I'll try it out unless you
already have Sqoop set up with a database running you can check against.
