If I understand the question to the best of my capability, this check is in the
1516 code already, . This code is in the subtickets of SQOOP-1516 for rest and
command line apis will also add similar checks. I have patches for that. I am
trying to add a integration tests to test the REST APIs.
There is an independent ticket that was added also check that connector code
does not update USER_ONLY, feel free to take that ticket since I have not been
working on it. That would be a good help
