Jarek Jarcec Cecho commented on SQOOP-2333:
-------------------------------------------
Thanks for the patch [~raksharma]! Sqoop is a tool designed to import/export
data from relational databases to hadoop and back again. Even though that we're
re-using the Tool infrastructure from Hadoop, I don't think that we ever
planned for it to be a first class citizen that is exposed to end users. Having
said that Sqoop is developing and nothing is set in stone forever. But since
this is a quite huge change of the current direction, might I suggest to start
a discussion on dev mailing list?

> Sqoop currently does not provide any mechanism to define custom switches for
> the user defined tools. it would be nice if we can enhance Sqoop to support
> user defined Custom Tool options.
