Hi Angela, The freshest branch is the 'trunk'. Here's my understanding of our branches: This list can may be helpful: https://github.com/apache/sqoop/branches/all As you can see, the 'sqoop' branch hasn't been updated in quite a while. Releases are cut from 'trunk' and 'sqoop2' branches. As Sqoop2 is approaching maturity, its releases are marked as 1.99.*. The branches 1.4.* and 1.99.* are the released versions' branches.
So as in order: 1. trunk active branch for sqoop (next 1.4.* will come from this) 2. branch 1.4.* released versions of sqoop (e.g. 1.4.6) 3. branch 1.99.* released versions of sqoop2 (e.g. 1.99.6) 4. sqoop old branch for sqoop 5. sqoop2 active branch for sqoop2 (next 1.99.* will come from this) Cheers, Liz On Thu, Nov 10, 2016 at 7:08 AM, Ying Cao <angela.caoy...@gmail.com> wrote: > Hellow everyone, > > I find there five kinds of sqoop branch: > > 1.trunk > 2.branch 1.4.* > 3.branch 1.99.* > 4. sqoop > 5. sqoop2 > > I want to check Sqoop 1.4.7, but I can not find "branch 1.4.7", with my > understanding as sqoop 1.4.7 does not release so it have not "branch > 1.4.7".
