I'm not active in Stanbol at the moment so I'll let others decide, but
if this happens I'd like to ask for the migration steps to be
documented on a wiki page and/or jira issues, so that other projects
can benefit from that.
Basically the process is now quite established within the ASF. So,
besides set a proper time window to avoid commits' lost, Infra team is
quite effective doing the migration. Basically we'd get what now the
mirrors contain, but with write permissions, of course.
There's lots of information about Git at the ASF from the various
projects which use it (I have some links at
delicious.com/bdelacretaz/asf+git ) but it's somewhat scattered
around, having practical guides like "how do we migrate" would be very
useful. Unless there's some already, in which case you could just
reference those and include any additional steps that Stanbol
requires.
I could document all the steps done for the migration of Stanbol, and
then other project could benefit of such knowledge.
Considering the discussion result, I think we can move this to a vote.
Fabian, do you want to start it as Stanbol Chair?
Cheers,
