I am no expert with SSL so I might be wrong, but this looks to me to some certificate/configuration problem on the Github servers. As this clearly is a very inconvenient situation I changed the download location for the spanish models to use the same server as the models for the other languages with [2] (0.12) and [3] (trunk).
