As adorable as the pony is, I'd avoid it as some US-centric folk would think it's a donkey an thus an endorsement of a particular political party.
The checkmark'd V combined with STeVe looks crisp, clean, and professional to my eyes. I'd love to see that as the official, consensus-based, non-voted logo. --k
