    I think doing this kind of invalidates the test. Now the consumer will 
still have its old assignment after reactivation, and it will keep the same 
position as before. We're not really demonstrating that we can handle a real 
deactivate/reactivate here. Consider putting this test in 
https://github.com/apache/storm/blob/1.x-branch/external/storm-kafka-client/src/test/java/org/apache/storm/kafka/spout/KafkaSpoutReactivationTest.java
 instead, it already contains a test that does the deactivate/activate cycle.
